Please continue to storm heaven with your prayers. We did get the results from

pray we find the right doctor with the right course of treatment.... and of course
HEALING. Thank you dearly for your prayers, encouragement and kindness.

Author: thomaspaul@wowway.comWOW SCOTT YOU ARE SO AWESOME!
So glad to hear Emilie did so well in the MRI. James has had over 10 for his
brain tumors. Let us all know as soon as you do what is going on with your
little prescious angel.
Scott, thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to make the Circle
Letter better and better. I still think you could make some good money
developing a software package for other families to have this convenient way
to stay in touch.
I'd love to see some photos of Paris with snow. How about the Effiel Tower
and some of the beautiful bridges like the gold cherubs with snow?
Everything good here with everyone.
Jerry and Cindy's son Nick got all A's his first semester at San Luis Obispo. I
don't know how he does it.
Happy New Year to this great big family!

Tom,
Good to hear that Emilie did well for her MRI! That's certainly a big first step
in the right direction to understanding what's going on. As I say in the below
video, may she get well soon!
Get the Adobe Flash Player or enable Javascript / Flash to see this player.Click here to download this video file (or right click and select "save as").
On to this video:
Now I can relate to those snowy photos everyone's been sharing here! :-)
It's snowing here quite a bit (in fact it's the most I have seen since I began
living here in 2000). In the above video I mention the date as January 4th but
in fact I just recorded it so the recording date is actually January 5th.
I did some more work on the Circle Letter Software and now it is possible to
add Windows Media Video files (and soon Windows Audio - wma).
In order for WMV files to play on the Circle Letter folks may need to install
Microsoft's Silveright plugin from the following address:
http://silverlight.net/
There is a plugin for most computer operating systems (including one for
Intel based Macintoshes). Alternatively folks can just opt to download the
video and play it on their computers with whatever software will play Window
Media files on their system.
For Macintosh users the Quicktime plugin/component "Flip4Mac" available
here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx
Will allow Quicktime to play Windows Media files (even in browsers).
As of its current version the Silverlight plugin plays these file types:
WMV1: Windows Media Video 7
WMV2: Windows Media Video 8
WMV3: Windows Media Video 9
WMVA: Windows Media Video Advanced Profile, non-VC-1
WMVC1: Windows Media Video Advanced Profile, VC-1
WMA 7: Windows Media Audio 7
WMA 8: Windows Media Audio 8
WMA 9: Windows Media Audio 9
MP3: ISO/MPEG Layer-3
So that should open up the sharing possibilities quite a bit!
Ok everyone, sending my love to you all!

Emilie did awesome during her MRI. She was in the tube for over an hour and
never moved! Phew!! They told her she did better than most adults. Now we wait
for the results, and pray all will be well.
Do many of you remember where you were 22 years ago today? Well Jeanne and
I just watched our wedding video and saw many of your shining faces there.
I'm still amazed that all the music got pulled off, given that Grampa went on to
heaven just two weeks earlier - he was proud I'm sure! Thanks for pullling it off,
it sounds so awesome on the video.

Author: jamg1971@aol.comHappy New Year's 2009! Video Greeting
First before I go any further I just want to send my words of support to Tom &
Jeanne and family's Emilie. May the love and support Emilie has from our
family combine with the medical reasoning and knowledge that doctors
working with her have at their disposal to see that she gets well soon and
feels as good as new in short order! I hope that whatever is found to be the
cause will be relatively simple to overcome!
With that said the timing of my following New Year's greeting feels a bit odd
but please just know that I had this all prepared before getting this news
about Emilie. Please bear with me if this doesn't work out right away as this
message will be the first live attempt to make this video system work!
Get the Adobe Flash Player or enable Javascript / Flash to see this player.Click here to download this video file (or right click and select "save as").
For folks wanting to add a video to the circle letter there are a few technical
requirements. The video must be saved in MP4 (or Flash Video - FLV- ask me
about this) format with the following requirements:
The video codec has got to be H.264 and the audio codec has got to be either
MP3 or AAC.
I realize that these technical limitations are liable to put a bit of a crimper on
folks working out how to add their videos but with a little patience and help
from myself I'm sure that together we can overcome these.
So with these words I send everyone my love and tender thoughts at the
dawning of this new year 2009!
Love,
-Scottt

Author: netscott+circleletter@gmail.comPrayers for Emilie today
Tonight Emilie has an MRI, we're asking for your prayers that she can be still for
the 45 minutes it will take for the test, a lot to ask for a 7 year old!
Here is a little background as to why. We took her into the doctor Monday
because she has been complaining that her right clavicle has been hurting. It is
swollen. We have been worried too - she has had dark circles under eyes for a
few weeks, at least. We took her to the doctor - an x-ray showed a
growth/abnormalities. She has an MRI scheduled for this Friday at
7:15pm. Please pray she can make it through the MRI without being
sedated (if this is the case, the test needs to be rescheduled.) We are praying
that is is only a cyst, but need the MRI to tell the Drs what is going on there.
Through the intercession of St. Peregrine, St. Therese (she has a
special devotion to her) and St. Margaret Mary (her patron saint -
middle name), may the Lord bring healing.
With grateful hearts,
Tommy and Jeanne

Author: jIs@windgifts.comChristmas
Did you know that Christmas is actually celebrated in the church as an
octave? Yes, Christmas, as well as Easter, is celebrated as an octave. It is
actually an 8 day, day!
Here is a little history.
Why celebrate for eight days? The practice actually is as ancient as the Old
Testament, as old as approx. 1300 BC. The Hebrew people observed many of
their feasts for a period of eight days. The “Feast of Tabernacles” and the
“Dedication of the Temple” are two of the more notable. Later, the Roman
Emperor Constantine (330 AD) continued the tradition by celebrating the
dedication of basilicas in the Christian World for the same period of eight
days. Today we celebrate two feasts with Octaves: Easter (being the more
prominent) and Christmas.
Again, so why celebrate for eight days? Life in the ancient world was so
hectic and filled with pressure and families had grown apart and were being
swept up in the older pagan traditions, the Church granted a period of eight
days in order to contemplate the mysteries experienced in the Church’s
liturgy. Comparatively speaking, we obviously need the Octave even more
than the Christians of the ancient world! The ancient world did not have
television, shopping malls, computers, cell phones, fast food, automobiles,
magazines and newspapers… if the Ancients were easily distracted, what has
become of us!? We need to enjoy this time! If you need, take off work, visit
family, feast, attend Mass or Church services, pray, praise God, visit the poor,
celebrate charity, and most of all be humbled before the Mystery: The Word
of God has become flesh - fully human and fully divine!
I learned this several years ago and wanted to share some of this cool church
history with the class!
Love you all, Merry Christmas; Tommy, Jeanne, Sophie, Carly Dillon and Emilie

Author: Ladywithart@gmail.comOooh. I havent been keeping up!
Well. Sorry about not keeping updated to the site, but Merry
(late) Christmas from James, Chitomi, Joseph, Sammy, And JT.
Hope you guys are keeping warm in these friged temps. We are
freezing down here in LA.
Yesterday (Christmas), while it was raining, we went up to
our local mountains to see the snow. It was a long and
really miserable journey, but I got some really nice shots
of the mountain with my sweet nice camera. It was pouring
really hard on the way up there and the higher we got, the
more the rain turned to ice. It rained for half of the time
up there, then when we reached the peak, it started snowing
huge flakes. It was pretty gorgeous. Well, with all that
rain and snow, the roads became icy and cause massive backup
on the road down. We had to wait in a line of cars for at
least 3 hours just to get 4 miles down the mountain. It was
cool up there. cold. Freezing cold. Haha.
So. I read about something of doing a Instant mesage chat
with everyone? I do it all the time! Ask me if you need some
help starting it up ok John?
I'll hopefully get some new pictures up soon of all what
i've been doing this past month. If not, Just check my
flickr. www.flickr.com/photos/picsfromjos
Anyways. Hoping all of you had a great Christmas, Lovemas
day or what ever you celebrate, and hope that we have
another good year in 09.

Author: josephsfauxtaug@aim.comYes indeed, well done Aunt Mary! :-)
You were so right about mentioning that the birth of Jesus is simply observed
on the 25th of December.
The following section of the Encarta article on Christmas that covers the
origins of Christmas is quite enlightening:
http://encarta.msn.com/text_761556859___2/Christmas.html
Apparently if Roman traditions had been held we'd be celebrating "Saturnalia"
and honoring another god, "Saturn" the god of agriculture or else original
Pagan festivals of the Winter of Solstice. :-)
This article by Wade Cox of a Woden, Australia organization referring to itself
as "Christian Churches of God" seems to be a bit of a Christian protest both
against the celebrations of Christmas and Easter on the dates now observed
in the west:
http://www.ccg.org/english/s/p235.html
With all of the religious strife in the world I just wanted to put out the notion
that love really should be celebrated because no matter one's belief (Christian, Islam,
Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. and yes even atheism) everyone seems to
agree on the tenets of love.
And I too mean no disrespect and simply wanted to share an idea that is
based on what I believe to be a universal truth ("love") across all belief
systems.
So with that I send you my heartfelt expression of love!
Love,
-Scott

Author: njoynjohn@gmail.comHappy Birthday Jesus!!!
Well... we just got home from an AMAZING program at our
church tonight... the last of SEVEN services and it has
been an exhausting run but worth ALL THE EFFORT... WE
ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!! Alot of very talented people from
technicians to lighting crews to producers, directors,
actors, singers, etc... it was FABULOUS!!! And Chris (our
Pastor)is just one gifted man...so humble, so normal
and "cool" yet right on the money with his uncompromised
message sbout forgiveness and redemption and "identity
theft"... well ... He weaved it all together so perfectly
you would've had to have been there but ...hey... if you
want to check it out for yourself...
just click onto orchardgrove.org in a day or so
and the message will be there... there were over 1000
people at each of the services... If I can get copies of
the service on DVD I will make copies and send it to anyone
who wants to see it.
So.... until I hear from any of you let me be the first to
say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESUS CHRIST ( after all~ that's what
we're really celebrating today DEC 25th... A CELEBRATION TO
REMEMBER JESUS CHRIST'S DAY OF ARRIVAL INTO THIS
PLANET...knowing this wasn't the "actual day" of HIS birth
but a "rememberence") and you are SO RIGHT, SCOTT...it's
ALL ABOUT LOVE and Jesus Christ's LOVE for us is
unparallelled ( forgive my misspelling~ there's no
spellcheck on this site)...so wherever you all are... hope
that your individual "birthday" parties are the most joyous
ever....
Call me old fashioned ... but I still like to call it by
what it is... CHRISTMAS :) and I say that in the most
sincere,respectful way I can...so don't get the wrong
idea :)
I mean~just like when THE 4th of July gets here we'll
celebrate that day for what it represents too... And the
countries that didn't declare their independence on that
day won't be celebrating...because they have no reason
to... it's all about REPRESENTATION for the people it means
something to...
I love you ALL more than you could EVER imagine!!!
Sooooo.... Have yourselves a Merry little
Christmas ...now...

Greetings from snowy Seattle! We have experienced an absolutely unprecedented amount of cold and
snow here over the past two weeks. The city (and the entire region, actually) has come to a complete
standstill. I'm not certain what the total snowfall accumulation is to date, but I would estimate
something like 1.5 - 2 feet. To give you a sense of how rare this is, our city of 600,000 owns only
27 snowplows! Those plows are equipped with rubber-covered blades, so as not to damage the street
surfaces, manhole covers, etc,; and the city does not use salt due to the potentially negative
ecological impacts to Puget Sound. The result is that just about every non-arterial street in
Seattle is covered with an impenetrable layer of ice about 4-6" thick. Did I mention that our fair
city is also extremely hilly? If you've never been here, think San Francisco, but with more hills
that aren't quite as high. School was canceled all last week, and very few people were able to get
to work. So, we played in the snow! We built snowmen, went sledding, and even went snowboarding down
our own street! I put a video of Amy riding down our street on YouTube,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gxz7LmMmas I took a few runs too, but wanted something a bit
steeper. I hiked up the next street to the north, to nearly the top of our hill, and some friendly
neighbors who were out sledding offered to spot me when I crossed 3rd Ave NW (a major arterial, but
for reasons explained above, nearly devoid of traffic). I managed to ride all the way down NW 48th
St from Market to 6th Ave NW! It was exhilarating, and probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So
naturally I immediately hiked back up the hill and did it again! :)
We are making the best of things, and the boys have loved every minute of this rare meteorological
treat.
I hope everyone out there is doing great, and wish you a wonderful non-denominational Winter Holiday. :)
Love,
Matt, Amy, Liam and Lochlan

Author: netscott+circleletter@gmail.comA Favorite Christmas Story for 2008
Hello family,
I was telling brother Gerry this story and he asked me to
share it with all of you via the circle letter.
As many of you know, Santa is quite busy at this time of
year, so here in Salisbury Tom helps him out occasionally
by making some Santa visits for him. Kathy and Jenny are
his helpers. They have beautiful red velvet suits trimmed
with white fur, etc. They are all quite impressive
together. Of course, the little children are delighted to
see him...but to see adults loving Santa really melts your
heart !
The story starts with our Kathy...she heard of a fund
raiser from our Lower Shore Enterprises. It is a place
for our local people with physical or mental
disabilities / challenges, where they can work, be trained
to do simple jobs and feel productive.
They were making gift baskets for Christmas: teas, hot
chocolate packets, local caramel corn, etc. She bought a
few of them without even seeing them just to support their
cause. When she went to pick them up, she was amazed at
how beautiful they were. The people were so grateful to
her, hugging her saying "thank you Kathy, thank you Kathy,
etc." When she got home, she decided to order several more
baskets for gifts.
The next day, Santa made a visit to Lilly's (Danny's 2
year old daughter) nursery school. When they left, they
thought that while they were so dressed up...they would
drop by Lower Shore Enterprises for a surprise visit and
to order the extra baskets.
Here were the challenged people working hard, all doing
their various jobs. When Santa came in , they were Sooo
happy to see him ! Santa and the helpers were working the
room, visiting with all the people, getting and giving
hugs and candy canes. Remember, these are all ADULTS
with disabilities. One of the women was singing
"you'd better watch out, you'd better not cry...."
all the words to Santa Claus is coming to town...she sang
the whole song twice.
What Tom didn't know until he got out to the car was that
the director had told Kathy that THAT WOMAN HAS NOT SPOKEN
MORE THAN TWO WORDS A WEEK SINCE SHE HAS BEEN THERE !!!
But somehow, seeing Santa, brought something out in her
and she was singing !
Let's always remember to count our blessings.
Merry Christmas,
Esther

I had called our Michael to see if the gathering was even

I LOVE family get togethers.
He mentioned to me that there was a raffle going on for

family bought me some raffle tickets....(for which I wlll
repay them post haste !).......and guess what ????
Esther won the most coveted prize of the day!!!!! A

Lucky me....sorry about your luck to the rest of you !
Plus, I won two more other prizes.
Michael will be delivering them to us when his
family comes to Maryland to visit us two days after

that is JUST SO HARD TO BELIEVE!!! It does go by in the
blink of an eye...
He was an AMAZING person and I miss him as much now as I
ever did... and listening to your CD, John, brings him
back ...if only in my memories...of which there are a
MILLION WONDERFUL ONES!!!
I love you all....

Snowstorm in Las Vegas? Get out of town! (if you can)
the airport is shut down.....I can only imagine how weird
that has to be Bill....And Detroit, your having a snow
storm of your own tonight...(no big deal) We had a snow
scare here last week, they were forcasting a possible 1/2
to 1 in. so they let school out Thursday afternoon at 1pm
and reopened Friday morning at 10am...and the snow never
even showed...but that's the crazy weather of
Alabama...Today, tomorrow,and Saturday we're going to be
in the 70's yahoo!! but by Monday, we probably won't get
out of the 40's....Joy's Mom is slowly recovering from
breaking her hip and subsequent surgery...she'll be in
rehab for about 2 more weeks, and then she'll come stay
with us until such a time we feel it would be safe for her
to go back home...I love you all!!!

I know I'm a day late but it's been crazy around here with a broken closet pole
and a major water leak under the house. Thank God Scott was here from Paris
to find and help James fix the leak.
Jenifer we are so glad you married Star and make him so happy. The work the
two of you have done to remodel your home and yard makes us so proud.
We hope you celebrated in a great way and have years and years of wonderful
birthdays with Star.
You always are so beautiful and gracious at our family gatherings like the
yummy Christmas dinner at Jerry and Cindy's home with Scott, Cindy's father,
George, Lyndsay's boyfrieind, Brad Ball, and us.

women about to walk into the theater are Aunt Vivian and
Aunt Lucille...

Author: njoynjohn@gmail.com HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE
Wishing you a very happy birthday. I always remember the
day you were born because the aunts (Nancy, Jane, and Sally)
had their first child on a Sunday and they were all
girls....not to mention that the aunts' only daughters
(Nancy, Sally, and Ami) gave birth to only one daughter.
So........you broke the mold by being born on a Thursday, I
believe; we called you Mary's boychild.
May the Lord bless you continually and give you the desires
of your heart as you delight in him. Every year gets
sweeter when you have Jesus.

Hi Everyone,
Would it be possible to set up an "Instant Message
Night" On a particular night, at a particular time for
any or all who might want to join in the conversation..is
it possible to have an instant messages with multiple
people??? It sounds like that might be too much fun!!!!
If this is possible let's do it...Even if it was once a
month or once a week or everyday..I think it would be a
great way to keep in touch without spending any
money....If anyone knows how to do this, let me know!
love

Anyway. About 2 weeks ago, I got my camera and have been

with it.
And with the purchase of my camera (canon XS dslr) came
photography opportunities. My godfather took me to a fasion
show to take shots on the sidelines, and i've been getting
busness ever since.
No shots up this time, but you can always see my shots at

Author: njoynjohn@gmail.comTriple Blessings!
Say it with me- God is Great! This past week has been
triply blessed for Jeff and I. We are in awe of God's
greatness and excited to share our experiences with you.
First off, Jeff and I are expecting a little blessing from
above! Yes, we are finally pregnant again. I am only about
6 weeks along, but so far everything is going perfectly.
Mom is praying for twins and interestingly enough it has
been the topic of conversational questioning for the past
three days- little comments like wouldn't it be great if
you had twins or are you in line for twins have been asked
quite often. Aunt Mary, I love the way you found out- :)
Our first ultrasound is on December 16th- that way
everything should be clear and developing well enough to
see by then. Thanks to all who have been keeping us in
your prayers- I know you will continue to do so and we will
keep you in ours as well. Second- My art exhibit this past
weekend went extremely well. I sold three paintings and
have others on hold. Enough to cover my booth fees and
perhaps next months mortgage. It was more than I
expected. The clientele were wonderful people along with
the planners and other venders. I believe my paintings
went to individuals who truly enjoyed the pieces. Thank
you so much for attending- to those of you who were able to
come out for the event. It means so much to have your
support. Third- I just found out this morning that I have
been accepted for the CoReutter-Menagerie Gallery in South
Lyon which will be holding its opening night soon. I will
be one of their many featured artists. I am very excited,
especially since I know how difficult it can be to get into
a gallery. Opening date and time have not yet been
posted. I will pass along the information once I know and
you can always check in at my website to see if any new
developments have taken place. www.shelleystevenson.com
All of these blessings could not have been possible without
your prayers and belief in God's Glory. Love to all.

Encore, encore!!
Wow this music and the conversation is awesome. Tonight
at my house we are all going to gather around the radio,
Oh I mean the computer! and listen to it all together.
I'll get my tape of G & G onto a disc and get it on here
soon. It is a tape they sent for my graduation in 1979,
my favorite is "Little Man, you've had a busy day".
It was wild hearing aunt Fred, I've only heard stories of
her before, was she still alive when I was born in 1961?
Gramma Mattie was great too, I could picture her, wiht a
pie of course, when I heard her on that 1959 phone call.
Johnny, thank you so much for getting this togehter and
Scott for providing the means to get it to the masses!
Happy Thanksgiving to all, Love Tommy, Jeanne and crew.

I'M SO THANKFUL TO JOHN, JAMES, AND SCOTT FOR ADDING THE MUSIC.
Now this great family can share the music and memories with all the
younguns' and any one who marries in to the family.
Scott you should develop a software package for this format so all families
could keep it touch like this. I know it would be a big hit and make you a lot
of money plus think of what a joy it would be for other familes.
Love, Suzanne
